Event registration

To register, please go to the conference packages page and complete the online registration form.

We do not offer day rates for this conference; all members and suppliers must purchase a full registration package. For specific enquiries, please contact the conference organiser, Expert Events.

The conference package includes access to conference sessions, a daily buffet breakfast, morning tea and lunch at the conference venue, tickets to the dinners, and four nights’ accommodation at Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort. Please see the conference packages page for more details.

Please refer to terms and conditions of registration document provided with your registration confirmation email. Cancellation fees may apply depending on the date of cancellation. All cancellations must be advised in writing to Expert Events.

BSR members are welcome to bring their children or family members to the conference however please note that meals and accommodation will be an additional cost. Pricing varies, please check the conference packages page or reach out to Expert Events directly for a quote.

Conference accommodation

Four nights’ accommodation are included as part of your conference package. Your accommodation is secured when you complete your conference registration online. Any additional accommodation nights or room upgrade requests are subject to availability.

Your accommodation will be listed and confirmed in your conference registration confirmation email.

All members and suppliers who purchase a registration package must stay at Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort (subject to availability).

Please contact Expert Events to amend or cancel your conference accommodation. Please refer to the terms and conditions of registration document provided with your registration confirmation email for cancellation fees. 

Yes, if you would like to request nights outside of the allotment, please add these while completing your registration. Expert Events will confirm any additional nights with the hotel and add these to your registration confirmation email.

Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort’s standard check-in and check-out times are listed below. For early check-in or late check-out requests, please contact Expert Events.

Novotel Sunshine Coast Resort does not offer babysitting services. You can arrange local babysitters through trusted providers such as Kiddo, Babysitters on the Coast, or Nannies of Noosa

BSR Group and Expert Events do not promote or endorse any particular service; please check credentials and availability in advance.

Meals and dietary requirements

Please refer to the conference packages page for a list of all meals that are included for members and suppliers who have purchased a registration package. Catering packages can be purchased at an additional cost for family members or children who are travelling with you. Please contact Expert Events for a quote or include their details when completing your registration online.

Please let us know of any special dietary requirements when completing your conference registration. To update your dietary or special requirements, please email Expert Events.

Dress code

The dress code for the conference is smart casual.

Each social event has its own dress code:

  • Welcome Dinner at Lily’s on the Lagoon: Casual dress
  • “Under the stars” dinner on The Village Green: Casual dress
  • BSR Group Gala Dinner and Awards: Smart casual attire

Conference program

Conference app

One week prior to the conference you will receive an email with the conference app login details and instructions. We recommend you download the app before you arrive at the conference.

We highly recommend you download the conference app to maximise your engagement and enjoyment at the conference. On the conference app you can check and receive updates on the daily schedule, take notes at sessions and export them for future reference, and engage in fun networking activities. You can also view a list of members and suppliers and connect with them via direct in app messaging.

Transport and parking

You are required to make your own travel arrangements to the Sunshine Coast and to the hotel. A group departure transfer from the hotel to the Sunshine Coast airport is included on Friday 7 August.

Travelling by car
Driving is a convenient way to get around the Sunshine Coast and explore the region at your own pace. If you’re coming from Brisbane, it’s about 1.5-2 hours via the M1 / Bruce Highway. From the Sunshine Coast Airport, the resort is only 5 minutes away.

Travelling from the airport

  • Sunshine Coast Airport (MCY): The resort is just 5 minutes from the terminal. Taxis, rideshares, and rental cars are all available.
  • Brisbane Airport (BNE): The resort is around 112 km north – roughly 1.5-2 hours’ drive. You can take a taxi, rideshare, or hire a car for a comfortable, flexible journey.

Con-X-ion and other private transfer services operate from Brisbane Airport to the Sunshine Coast.

At the conference

You can collect your name badge from the conference registration desk from 12 noon on Monday 3 August. Hotel check-in is available from 2:00pm.

Sustainability

Expert Events is committed to supporting sustainability practices and reducing the impact of our events on the environment. Our efforts to reduce the carbon footprint of this conference include:

  • Printed materials are kept to a bare minimum.
  • Attendees are encouraged to use electronic resources such as referring to the conference program via the conference app or website.
  • Attendee name badges are printed on fully recyclable paper.
  • Suppliers are encouraged to exercise environmental values and practices in their participation.
  • If budget allows, when booking your flight, choose to offset your carbon footprint.
  • Choose to follow the waste separation instructions at the venue and at your accommodation.
  • Bring a drink bottle to fill at the water stations at the conference venue.
  • Bring a reusable bag to carry your conference materials in.
  • Recycle items where possible, such as your lanyard.
